  1. LINEAR  STATISTICAL  MODELS  an applied approach(2nd Edition) By Bowerman &  O’Connell
  2.  An Introduction to Categorical Data Analysis By Alan Agresti

Breakup of Points:

                                                            Total Worth

Assignments / Quizzes/ Projects        150 points

2 Midterm Exams (2x100)                  200 points

Final                                                    150 points

Total                                                    500 points

Tentative Schedule:

·         Homework every week.  Due in a week.  No credit will be given to late submissions.

·         1st Midterm around 6th week. 2nd Midterm around 11th week

·         Comprehensive Final

Tentative Grading Scale:

·         90% and up           450-500 points            A

·         80% - 89%            400-449 points            B

·         70% - 79%            350-399 points            C

·         60% - 69%            300-349 points            D

·         Below 70%            Below 300                   F

The actual grading scale will be determined after the final exam.  The final grading scale can be lower, but will not be higher, than the above tentative scale.

·         The schedule and the grading scale may be changed at any time.  If any change is made, it will be announced in class.

·         Please try to attend lectures regularly.  You will be responsible for materials covered in missed lectures.

·         Make-up exams will not be given. If there is a serious medical or family emergency, which prevents you from taking an exam, contact me as soon as possible. You will be asked to supply documentation. In such a case were missing an exam is warranted, your final exam will be worth 250 points instead of the usual 150. The remaining aspects of your grade will be computed as outlined above.
