The Division of Statistics offers a Masters of Science program in applied probability and statistics. It is designed to develop students' abilities necessary for immediate employment as statisticians and/or applied probabilists, and prepare them for more advanced study. Our master's degree program is unique for its emphasis on applied statistics and probability courses.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers a Ph.D. program in Mathematical Sciences, with an emphasis in statistics. It prepares the students for highly professional careers in university teaching and research or in industrial consulting and research.

A bachelors degree is available through the department of Mathematical Sciences . Employment prospects for individuals with strong technical skills in statistics continue to be excellent in research organizations, government, industry, and education. The growth of the Illinois Research and Development Corridor along Interstate 88 from Chicago has created many career opportunities both in research and industry. Time wise, our course offerings can be geared toward persons who are currently working in a business or government setting.
