Groebner bases are explained in a lot of places. E.g.
(1) ALGEBRAIC COMPUTING WITH REDUCE by M.MacCallum and F.Wright
(2) probably in the tex file that accompanies the REDUCE Groebner basis
package. You can get it free from reduce-netlib@rand.org by sending
the message:

(3) Buchberger, "Groebner bases: an algorithmic method in polynomial ideal
