From: Mike Zabrocki Newsgroups: sci.math,sci.stat.math,k12.ed.math Subject: Monty Hall Paradox Web Site Date: Sun, 03 Nov 1996 23:58:00 +0000 We would like to announce the completion of a Monty Hall Paradox web page. The program that we have written allows web browsers to play the "Monty Hall" game. The site has a description of the game in case you do not know the background. The site keeps track of the number of players and number of players who switch and do not switch their doors during the experiment and it shows that the players that switch win almost 2/3 of the time. This page is part of a site for a cryptography class offered at UCSD. If you would like to see the whole site it is located at: http://sdcc14.ucsd.edu/~ma187s The Monty Hall part of the site is located at: http://math.ucsd.edu/~crypto/Monty/Montytitle.html Mike Zabrocki- zabrocki@math.ucsd.edu David Little- dlittle@math.ucsd.edu ============================================================================== Another simulation can be found, of all places at http://cartalk.cars.com/About/Monty/ where you can even read some of a 1975 American Statistician article on the matter, and a response from Monty Hall himself! There is also a pointer to yet another simulation: http://www.stat.sc.edu/~west/javahtml/LetsMakeaDeal.html
