There is a book called "Global Optimization" by Reiner Horst and Hoang Tuy (Springer-Verlag). It is *very* comprehensive and quite well written, IMHO. Rinnooy Kan and Timmer have a chapter on global opt in "Optimization", which is vol. 1 in the "Handbooks in Operations Research and Management Science." I like the Horst/Tuy book better for this subject, but I really like the Optimization Handbook as a reference text. -- Gregory Glockner Graduate Research Assistant http://akula.isye.gatech.edu/~greg/ Logistics Engineering Center glockner@isye.gatech.edu School of ISyE, Georgia Inst. of Technology 404-894-2366
