[LONG FILE: 623K] Sci.math.research is a moderated newsgroup which passed its vote for creation by 293:34 as reported in news.announce.newgroups on 5 September 1991. An archive was formed at Lake Forest College shortly after the newsgroup was formed. (Probably there were a few early posts before the archives began.) The archive was shut down in late 1998 but the files have been transferred to the Math Forum at Swarthmore. The files may be accessed at http://forum.swarthmore.edu/epigone/sci.math.research/ either by thread (in chronological order) or through a search engine.
