PREREQUISITE: Math 230 Calculus II.
TEXT: C.H. Edwards and D.E. Penney, Elementary Differential Equations, 5th ed, Pearson Prentice Hall, 2004.
GRADING: Course grades will be based on a total of 600 points, among which 100 points are for homework/quizzes, 300 points for 3 tests (100 points for each test) and 200 points for a comprehensive departmental final exam.
FINAL: The departmental
final exam is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6,
Homework problems are assigned for each section we will cover. The assigned problems for each section are listed on the opposite side of this sheet. Homework will usually not be collected; exceptions to this will be announced in class.
Quizzes, taken directly from the assigned homework problems, will be given in class. Quizzes will not necessarily be announced in advance. There will be no makeups of quizzes, but your lowest two quiz scores will not be included in the final grade calculation.
